History

The Robeson County Food Council offers a variety of resources and programs specifically tailored to meet the needs of individuals and families in Robeson County who may be struggling with food insecurity. These include community gardens, food pantries, and educational workshops focused on healthy and affordable meal planning and preparation. Our aim is to ensure that everyone in our community has access to the nutritious food they need to live healthy and fulfilling lives.

The mission of the Robeson County Food Council is to build a sustainable and equitable food system in Robeson County that promotes the health and well-being of all residents, supports local farmers and producers, and strengthens the local economy. We are dedicated to increasing access to healthy and affordable food, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and empowering our community to make informed choices about their food. Through collaboration, education, and advocacy, we strive to create a food system that is resilient, inclusive, and equitable for all.
